The Landing Area
- Both feet land within an area marked left and right of the extended centre line of the table.
- The Code's drawing shows the area widening away from the table: the table is marked 0.95, the far end of the area 1.50.
- The lines are clearly marked on the landing mat. The mat is fastened so it cannot move.
- In
- Stepping on a line.
- Out
- Stepping over it.
- Line judge
- Sits at the far end of the landing area. Raises a red flag for a violation and informs D1.

Stick Bonus
For any vault with a salto. Section 13 names no minimum value.
- Stuck — no step and no hop, and the heels and toes do not rise to keep the balance+0.1
- Heels or toes rise to keep the balanceNo bonus
- A vault without a saltoNo bonus
These do not cancel it:
- other deductions, such as legs apart, arm swings or lack of preparation — the E-Jury deducts those as usual
- a line deduction
Newsletter 3, p. 2 · in force from 1 January 2026
Lifting the toes to keep the balance now cancels the bonus too, not only lifting the heels.
What applied before
The Code named only the heels.
Newsletter 4, p. 2 · in force from 1 September 2026
On floor and vault, the stick bonus can be given even when there is a line deduction.
